Shop local campaign underway
A campaign to promote shopping locally is underway in Union County.
Keep It In The County: Think, Shop, Buy Locally First is the theme of the campaign.
The campaign is a non-profit community service project sponsored by the Union County Women in Business, UCWIB, organization.

ANNA, IL –Going out to dinner or taking a trip out of town this weekend? You might be able to stretch your dollar into a little more if you shop locally.
One year ago, Kathy Brian says she had a crazy idea to open a coffee shop.
“We weren’t certain at first because Anna is a town of 5000 people, and there really isn’t anything here, and we thought it was because it either it doesn’t work or nobody has tried,” said Kiki’s Coffee House owner Kathy Brian.
Women in Business’s “Buy Locally” Campaign Supported By Union County Board of Commissioners
The Union County Board of Commissioners has released the attached letter in support of the Union County Women in Business‘s “Buy Locally” campaign. The Board encourages all community leaders, businesses and consumer in Union County and the greater region to “think, shop and buy locally first.”
